Abstract:

Death In A Sunny Street: 50 Years Later is part of a larger group of projects headed by the Wayne County Historical Museum to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the event that devastated Richmond on April 6, 1968. The original book was compiled by local author and member of the Wayne County Civil Defense, Esther Kellner, and has been out of print for many years. This seemed an appropriate time to reissue it and to add an updated chapter written by Rachel Sheeley Muzzillo, who, as a reporter for the Palladium-Item covered many other explosion commemorations over the years.
